The Trek Fuel EXe 9.8 GX AXS is a new generation of mountain bikes that offers almost imperceptible power to the trail in a compact e-package that adapts to your riding style. It is equipped with a tiny yet powerful TQ transmission that provides assistance when needed but disappears on descents for a real trail bike feel. A carbon fiber frame keeps the ride light and responsive, while an updated RockShox suspension kit and Shimano XT gear complete the build with the optimal combination of performance and affordability.
The Fuel EXe 9.8 GX AXS is ideal for trail riders who desire the best of both traditional and electric mountain bikes. You do not like to sacrifice dexterous control for brute power, but you desire a little assistance on the ups. You value modern technology and desire enhancements where they matter most. You don’t want to miss out on the natural experience of mountain biking, therefore, you want a refined motor that operates softly as you ride.
The Fuel EXe 9.8 GX AXS has an OCLV Mountain Carbon frame with a fully encased 360 Wh battery and TQ harmonic pin ring transmission with a smart charging connector, an integrated LED display, and a discrete handlebar remote. Plus, a 140 mm RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ rear suspension and a 150 mm RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork with DebonAir spring and Charger 2.1 RC damper. With accurate shifting and modulation provided by a Shimano XT drivetrain.

It’s finished with accurate Shimano XT shifting, carbon wheels, and an improved suspension kit, putting your money where it matters.
This model has tubeless-ready wheels and tires, which provide a smoother ride and less rolling resistance than traditional innertubes. This system requires tire sealant for proper operation, which will be installed in our workshop prior to shipment. Due to the nature of this sealant, the tire may not be completely sealed until it has been ridden a short distance; hence, the bicycle may arrive with low tire pressure. Before cycling, please verify that the bicycle’s tires are inflated to the necessary pressure.
