Everything, including the frame, has been updated to ensure your maximum enjoyment, even on the roughest descents. Plus, the new smart system, Performance Line CX from Bosch, provides a longer battery life (750Wh) and cutting-edge features like activity tracking, navigation, and wireless connectivity to take your ride to the next level.
It’s a right fit if…
You want a carbon electric mountain bike (e-MTB) with plenty of battery life and high-performance components for extended rides. You want the latest and greatest from Bosch, as well as the responsiveness of carbon, the stability of a longer reach, the plush feel of high-end suspension, and the comfort of a longer seat post.
TREK Rail 9.8 GX Gen 3 2023
What kind of technology do you get?
Increased strength and a longer wheelbase characterize this new version of the OCLV Mountain Carbon frame. A 750Wh battery for extended riding time, a snappy RockShox ZEB Select+ fork, and a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate Thru Shaft shock paired with a versatile SRAM GX gear range. Bosch’s latest features, such as the Bluetooth® LED remote for new connectivity and all-in-one navigation and activity tracking via the eBike Flow app, are included in the Performance Line CX smart system.
As the last word
The suspension kit in particular makes this bike a serious ripper, although the changes are all over the place. The powerful Bosch motor, right-lasting 750Wh battery, and rugged components make it ideal for hammering down steep terrain and rocketing back up.
Here’s why you’ll adore it:
The new LED remote and eBike Flow app from Bosch’s new smart system provide you with even more control and customization options while maintaining the same level of power and responsiveness.
The colorful Kiox screen provides trip details, pairs with Bluetooth® devices, and even helps prevent theft.
Faster than a standard shock, the RE:aktiv with Thru Shaft follows the terrain more closely and helps you maintain control.
To support beefier dropper posts, the new frame has a 34.9mm seat tube, and the bigger head tube is designed to work with beefy eMTB-optimized forks, resulting in less flex and more precise steering.
The Trek Removable Integrated Battery (RIB) system is both aesthetically pleasing and super convenient, as it completely conceals the battery within the frame for safety, permits the battery to be removed without the use of tools, and allows for the attachment of a water bottle cage.
