The Stereo Hybrid One55 E-MTB is a new model from German bike manufacturer Cube.
A build that tips the scales at no more than 23 kilograms is promised by the lightweight carbon-fiber frame. The Stereo Hybrid One55 E-MTB is a new model from German bike manufacturer Cube.
Due to its extensive selection of electric and standard bicycles, German bicycle manufacturer Cube has built a solid reputation in the mountain biking community. Cube once again surpasses itself with the introduction of the Stereo Hybrid One55 for the 2023 model year.
Built on the foundations of its non-electric sibling, the Stereo One55, the Hybrid is a capable all-mountain trail machine with a powerful electric motor from a leading manufacturer. Cube goes so far as to say that the new Stereo Hybrid One55 is “enduro-compatible” because of the bike’s robust components and cutting-edge frame.
To begin, the Stereo Hybrid One55 is packing the Bosch Performance CX motor’s fourth generation. Not to be confused with the CX Race motor with 400% assistance, the Performance CX motor offers up to 85 Nm of torque and a nominal output of 250W for general riding. The Stereo Hybrid One55 is packing a Bosch PowerTube battery pack with a 750-watt-hour capacity, as is customary with most Bosch-powered e-bikes. Now, the Bosch Performance CX motor is not new and has firmly established itself as a proven player in the e-bike industry.
However, the motor’s housing frame is an entirely new innovation. Cube has constructed the frame of the Stereo Hybrid One55 from a newly developed carbon fiber known as C:68X fiber. The frame weighs no more than 2.9 kilograms when in its full-suspension configuration and tips the scales. For a bike of this caliber, the One55’s weight of just 22 kilograms when built to the highest specifications is truly remarkable. There are, however, more affordable options that tip the scales at 23 kilograms, a negligible difference in weight for novice and intermediate riders.
